SRE is seeking a Director to lead asset management scope across SRE's projects. This is a cross-portfolio, senior commercial role sitting within the Investments Department, working closely with project teams and shareholders across Asia.
Scope Description:
As a member of the SRE Investments team, your role will encompass the following scope.
- Serve as the primary representative on behalf of SRE for its investment in SRE’s projects across all asset management activities during the development, construction and operational phases, ensuring investment performance (operational and financial) is tracked against the agreed baseline financial model, P50/P90 budgets, approved business case and shareholder return targets.
- Review and critically assess monthly O&M reports from the operator or O&M contractor; identify underperformance trends, curtailment events, and unplanned outages, and drive corrective action through the appropriate contractual channels.
- Liaise with the Operations, Legal and other internal teams to assess the financial impact of operational events, value-optimisation opportunities, O&M contract variations, insurance claims, regulatory changes, tax structuring, etc.
- Prepare and deliver periodic shareholder reports covering operational performance, financial results, budget variance, key risks, and forward outlook for each asset; tailor content and format to meet shareholder requirements
- In conjunction with the Operations team, prepare and present board papers and investment committee memos on asset performance, budget variance, investment returns analysis, capital structure decisions, and key project milestones
- Lead shareholder approval processes, including opex approval requirements, refinancings, distribution declarations, material contract amendments, and other reserved matters requiring shareholder consent.
- Build and maintain trusted working relationships with equity partner representatives at the Board level; anticipate and proactively manage partner concerns, information requests, and governance obligations.
Qualifications:
- 10-14 years of experience in asset management, commercial operations, or investment management, with direct experience managing operating or construction-phase renewable energy or offshore wind assets.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA, CFA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of offshore wind project contracts (O&M/LTSA, PPA/FIT, EPC/EPCI, grid connection) and performance management frameworks.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including project finance model build, maintenance and scenario analysis; experience with distributions modelling, covenant compliance tracking, and lender reporting in operational projects.
- Familiarity with project finance documentation and lender reporting requirements; working knowledge of DSCR mechanics and cash waterfall structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear, concise reporting materials tailored to shareholders, lenders, and senior management audiences.
- Proactive and self-directed; comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; capable of representing SRE's interests in JV governance forums and managing co-investor relationships.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
