Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) is a leading offshore wind developer with projects across Taiwan and Asia. We are seeking a Cable Supply Manager to take full ownership of the export and inter-array cable supply scope within our offshore wind projects. This role will be responsible for the delivery of all engineering, procurement, and contract execution activities related to submarine cable supply, and will lead a small team of cable supply engineers.
You will work closely with the Cable Package Manager, procurement team, certification bodies, and interface partners (onshore substation, OSS, WTG, and installation teams) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality cable systems in line with technical, contractual, and project requirements.
Scope Description:
As a key member of the Synera Renewable Energy team, your role will encompass the following:
- Lead and manage the export and inter-array cable supply scope from early design through contract execution and delivery.
- Supervise and guide a team of one or two cable supply engineers.
- Lead the technical design, specification, and certification strategy for submarine cables, including ampacity calculations, thermal modelling, and dynamic ratings.
- Oversee FEED and detailed design activities and ensure compliance with relevant standards and project-specific requirements.
- Engage with the supply chain to support the tendering and contracting process for submarine cable supply and related services.
- Coordinate and lead negotiations for Cable Supply Agreements and associated service contracts.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to define and align commercial terms, insurance, and warranty structures.
- Manage technical interfaces and alignment with adjacent packages (e.g. OSS, onshore substation, WTG, and installation).
- Support survey and site investigation campaigns and ensure input is incorporated into design and specification.
- Ensure safety-by-design principles and environmental considerations are embedded across the full lifecycle — from engineering and construction to O&M and decommissioning.
- Manage and review internal and external engineering deliverables, including those from consultants, certifiers, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with certification and permitting requirements.
- Support permitting, due diligence, lender technical advisor (LTA) queries, and O&M readiness.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in submarine power cable projects, with at least 3 years in a developer or EPC environment.
- Proven experience managing technical scope and contracts for export and/or inter-array cable systems.
- Strong understanding of offshore wind project lifecycle, submarine cable design, and interface management.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. IEC, CIGRÉ) and certification requirements for submarine cables.
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal stakeholders and external suppliers across engineering and procurement phases.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
- Based in Taiwan or open to relocation.
