Summary:

Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) is a leading offshore wind developer with a portfolio of projects across Taiwan and Asia. We are seeking an experienced Cable Supply Manager to take ownership of the export and inter-array cable supply scope, from engineering and procurement through manufacturing, testing, load-out, delivery and handover.

 

You will lead the cable supply scope, with accountability for safety, quality, budget, schedule and supply contract performance. The scope includes submarine cables, associated accessories, joints and termination systems, together with supplier support for installation and commissioning.

 

Working closely with the Cable Package Manager and engineering, procurement, commercial and installation teams, you will manage suppliers and technical interfaces to ensure cable systems meet project requirements and are delivered in line with installation milestones.

 

Scope Description:

As a key member of the Synera Renewable Energy team, your role will encompass the following:

  • Lead the export and inter-array cable supply scope throughout engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, load-out, delivery and handover.
  • Lead and develop the cable supply engineering team, setting clear responsibilities, priorities and delivery objectives.
  • Oversee cable system design, technical specifications and certification, ensuring seabed conditions, electrical performance and installation requirements are incorporated.
  • Lead tender evaluations, supplier selection and supply contract negotiations in collaboration with procurement, commercial and legal teams.
  • Manage supply contracts, budgets, schedules and risks, including supplier performance, variations, claims, warranties and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor manufacturing progress and oversee quality assurance, inspections and factory acceptance testing, ensuring non-conformities are resolved before release.
  • Manage interfaces with substations, WTGs and cable installation contractors, including accessories, jointing, termination, testing and supplier support.
  • Coordinate cable storage, preservation, load-out and delivery arrangements, ensuring alignment with vessel readiness and installation schedules.
  • Embed safety by design and oversee supplier compliance with project HSE and environmental requirements.
  • Support installation and commissioning, resolve supply-related defects and ensure complete documentation, spares and warranty arrangements for handover to operations.

 

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in submarine power cable projects, with demonstrated responsibility for cable supply delivery or major supply contracts.
  • Proven experience delivering export and/or inter-array cable systems across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing and delivery.
  • Strong technical understanding of submarine cable design, electrical and thermal ratings, manufacturing processes, accessories, CPS, joints and termination systems.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing tender documentation, evaluating supplier proposals and negotiating cable supply agreements.
  • Strong contract management and commercial judgement, including experience managing variations, claims, warranties and supplier performance.
  • Practical experience overseeing manufacturing quality, inspections, factory acceptance testing and corrective actions.
  • Experience managing cable supply interfaces with installation contractors, substations and WTGs, including load-out and delivery planning.
  • Familiarity with applicable IEC standards, CIGRÉ guidance and cable certification requirements.
  • A strong commitment to HSE, with experience applying safety by design and managing manufacturing, handling and load-out risks.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate internal teams and drive supplier actions to completion.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to be based in Taipei and travel to manufacturing facilities, storage locations and project sites as required.
