Summary:

Scope Description:
As a key member of the Synera Renewable Energy team, your role will encompass the following:
Port Upgrades:
- Assist the T&I team with respect to port facilities and any upgrades that need to be conducted.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute port infrastructure upgrades to accommodate offshore wind project requirements (including but not limited to land/seabed reinforcement, dredging, and construction of onshore facilities).
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements, and safety standards during upgrade works.
- Collaborate with and monitor engineering teams and contractors to ensure that designs and construction meet project needs.
- Ensure contractor compliance with the Project HSE requirements and objectives.
- Support the O&M team in the setup of the O&M HUB, including lease arrangements, building, and site management during the construction period.
Harbor Logistics:
- Overall management of ports, harbor, and logistics preparations for the successful delivery of the offshore wind project.
- Negotiate, draft, and finalize port lease agreements and service contracts with landlords, port authorities, and service providers.
- Monitor and manage lease agreement compliance, addressing any disputes or issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the T&I team or T&I contractor for day-to-day harbor activities, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and onshore transportation management.
- Where applicable, coordinate with marine coordination teams to ensure the transfer of personnel, equipment, and components to offshore sites.
Project Management:
- Develop and monitor schedules for port upgrades and operations, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
- Liaise with stakeholders and authorities with respect to work permits, actual work activities, and offshore wind project objectives.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to port activities, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with local communities, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution and compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for port-related matters, addressing concerns and fostering positive relationships.
- Implement and enforce HSE standards across all harbor and port activities.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Logistics, Project Management, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in port/harbor management, infrastructure upgrades, onshore construction, lease agreements, or offshore project logistics.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Experience negotiating and managing lease agreements with port authorities or landlords.
- Offshore wind project experience is highly desirable.
- Preferably hold a civil architect license.
Work Environment:
- Combination of on-site and office-based work.
- May require extended hours during critical phases of the project.
- Occasional travel to relevant contractor’s sites, project offices, or stakeholder meetings.
