SRE is seeking a Project Finance Director to lead the project financing of Formosa 6 ("F6"), SRE's flagship Taiwan offshore wind project. This is a senior transaction leadership role within the Investments Department, responsible for structuring, negotiating and closing a large-scale, multi-tranche project finance facility involving commercial banks and export credit agencies (ECAs).
Scope Description:
As a member of the SRE Investments team, your role will encompass the following:
- Lead project financing: manage all aspects of the F6 project finance process from mandate to financial close, including facility structuring, lender appointment, term sheet negotiation, due diligence coordination and documentation execution.
- Work closely with development, technical and regulatory teams to translate project assumptions and regulatory requirements into bankable financial assumptions and strategies
- ECA and commercial bank engagement: lead engagement with export credit agencies and multilateral development banks alongside commercial lenders; manage information requirements, credit approvals and insurance structuring.
- Manage sponsor and lender advisers (financial, legal, technical, insurance, model audit) and coordinate the overall due diligence workplan, issues log and risk mitigation
- Oversee preparation of all lender materials, including information memorandums, management presentations, Q&A responses, financial models and scenario analyses
- Financial modelling and returns analysis: oversee development and maintenance of the F6 project financial model; lead bank case / base case reconciliation, debt sizing, sculpting, DSCR analysis and sensitivity runs.
- Investment governance: prepare Board papers, investment committee memos and senior management presentations on financing strategy, capital structure decisions and key transaction milestones.
- Team leadership: manage and develop a project finance sub-team of 3-4 individuals across the F6 transaction lifecycle; coordinate with legal, technical, insurance and commercial workstreams.
- Any other duties as required in line with the scope of the role.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance or investment banking; direct experience leading offshore wind or large-scale renewable energy financings from mandate to financial close required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline; MBA, CFA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Deep expertise in project finance documentation (facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements), ECA structures and lender due diligence processes.
- Demonstrated track record of leading multi-tranche, multi-creditor transactions in Asia-Pacific; familiarity with Taiwan's regulatory and financing environment strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modelling skills with ability to direct and review complex project finance models; proficiency in debt structuring, sculpting and scenario analysis.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage large multi-party transaction processes under time pressure.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Mandarin strongly preferred.
