Job Description:

As Risk Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the project's Risk Management Framework across all phases of the offshore wind project. The role ensures that project risks and opportunities are systematically identified, assessed, and mitigated, and that risk exposure, contingency, and mitigation status are clearly visible to the project team, lenders, and senior stakeholders. The position supports informed decision-making and robust project governance by coordinating closely with project controls, engineering, construction, and commercial teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Risk Management Framework, procedures, and risk register in line with project and lender requirements
  • Identify, assess, and monitor project risks and opportunities across cost, schedule, technical, contractual, and stakeholder interfaces
  • Identify and facilitate risk mitigation measures and strategies, ensuring clear ownership and timely close-out of actions
  • Perform quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulation and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), to support cost and schedule contingency reviews
  • Perform regular risk reporting, including risk dashboards and heat maps, for project management and steering committees
  • Hold regular risk reviews and workshops with internal and external stakeholders such as lenders' technical advisors
  • Support contingency drawdown reviews and provide risk input into project budget and schedule baseline reviews
  • Act as a mentor within the project regarding risk management, promoting a proactive risk culture across the team

Qualifications:

  • Experience with risk management best practices and tools such as Monte-Carlo simulation and Schedule Risk Analysis. Plus, if experience with Safran Risk
  • At a minimum, 5-8 years of relevant risk management experience on large infrastructure or energy projects; experience in offshore wind or offshore oil and gas is a strong plus
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and an innovative mindset, but also the ability to work independently and lead on topics
  • Goal orientated, balancing task, team and individual needs to achieve the right outcome
  • Considerable experience working in project teams focused on complex, mixed stakeholder environments, high value projects. Plus, if experience in the renewable energy or offshore wind industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communication, motivation, persuasion), proactive and capable of reaching out to different stakeholders
  • Drive, enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to develop including that of the team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Methodical and organized, a good facilitator and mediator able to resolve conflict
  • Strong Excel skills are required for risk modeling, data analysis, and reporting
  • Working proficiency in English is required; Mandarin/Chinese language skills are a plus
  • PMP or other relevant project management/risk certifications are an advantage
