SCADA/OT Manager(O&M)

About the Role

Build the digital backbone for reliable offshore wind operations. Reporting to the O&M Manager, you will lead the mobilisation, integration, takeover and ongoing management of wind farm SCADA, operational technology and associated IT systems and cybersecurity platforms. Working with EPC teams, technical specialists and service providers, you will translate operational requirements into reliable monitoring, secure systems and effective information management from commissioning through operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SCADA/OT system development, integration, commissioning support and operational takeover, including architecture and technical documentation.
• Establish documented monitoring of turbine, cable, foundation and substation systems and associated network, communications and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, operating procedures and access arrangements in line with applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage technical suppliers, system interfaces, maintenance requirements, hardware and software planning, upgrades and reliability improvements.
• Maintain the computerised maintenance management system so operational, inspection, maintenance and survey records remain current.
• Establish and maintain O&M document-management processes, system integration and user training.
• Support data analysis, initial root cause assessment and troubleshooting, coordinating resolution with relevant technical teams and suppliers.
• Manage the SCADA/OT/IT O&M strategy and budget, review contractor proposals and support construction punch-list close-out and operational readiness.

About You

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunications or Control Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of working experience, including at least two years in offshore wind, oil and gas or electrical transmission.
• At least two years of SCADA design or SCADA monitoring experience in an O&M environment.
• Broad, in-depth experience with electrical safety rules and a strong understanding of wind farm systems and their operational interfaces.
• One or more certifications listed in the source JD: ISO 27001 ISMS Auditor/Lead Auditor, CISSP, CompTIA, CISM, CISA, CEH or CIH.
• Strong data and project-management discipline, technical communication and supplier-management skills.
• A proactive, structured approach to independent delivery in safety-critical operational environments.

Desirable Experience

• Microsoft Azure and real-time protocols such as MODBUS, DNP or OPC-UA.
• Hands-on server, rack and IT hardware experience, alongside high-voltage system exposure.
• Knowledge of NERC-CIP or comparable IT security standards.
• Reliability-centred maintenance, failure mode analysis, ISO 31000 risk management or ISO 55000 asset management.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore wind operations and maintenance interfaces.

Language Skills

Fluent English, with CEFR Level C1 as a minimum, and fluent spoken and written Chinese are required. The role includes translating technical documents from Chinese into English.
