Role Description

As Senior Commercial Manager – Cables, you will play a key role in delivering SRE’s offshore wind projects by leading the commercial and contractual scope for our cable packages.
 
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of project delivery, managing high-value contracts, engaging with key suppliers, and helping shape the commercial strategy for one of the most critical packages in offshore wind. You will work closely with the Project team, technical colleagues, legal advisors, and external partners to ensure robust commercial outcomes from procurement through execution.
 
The role requires strong commercial awareness, solid contractual knowledge, and the confidence to lead negotiations and manage complex stakeholder interfaces in a fast-moving project environment.
The position will be based permanently at SRE’s office in Taipei.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Develop and implement the procurement and commercial strategy for cable packages, including array and/or export cables
  • Lead supplier engagement, tendering, bid evaluation, and commercial negotiations
  • Negotiate contracts with a focus on balanced risk allocation and project value
  • Manage commercial interfaces between cable contractors and other key packages
  • Provide commercial leadership during project execution, including contract administration, variation management, and claims handling
  • Identify and manage key commercial risks related to cable scope, including installation, delay, interface, and supply chain risks
  • Work closely with project, technical, legal, finance, and procurement colleagues to support sound decision-making
  • Support budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and reporting for the cable packages
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and business partners
  • Support and guide contract management resources as required
 
Requirements for the Role
 
We are looking for a commercially strong and proactive colleague who enjoys working in a dynamic offshore wind project environment. You will need to demonstrate as a minimum:
 
  • A master's degree in commercial management, engineering, law, business, or a related field
  • Around 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, contracts, or commercial management, ideally within offshore wind, energy, or large infrastructure projects
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding, including familiarity with FIDIC, LOGIC, or similar contract forms
  • Experience leading negotiations and managing supplier relationships
  • Good understanding of project risks, interfaces, and delivery challenges
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different cultures and functions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin would be considered an advantage
